Dear Citizens of Blogsterville,
After several months of solid work and a past week of extra-long hours, we're very pleased to present the new Blogster.com.
The site is fully functional and we encourage you to get right back to blogging. We'll be working very hard over the next few days and weeks and will continue to greatly appreciate your support and encouragement as the system improves and grows.
Here's a quick look at some of what we'll be working on next:
New Avatars & Emoticons – Our graphic artist, Joshua, will be cooking up some fresh new avatars for you to choose from in addition to being able to upload your own as well as new emoticons.
New Themes & More Blog Customization – We've laid the foundation for an exciting new theme system. Our design team will be releasing new themes over the next few weeks and, in addition to that, we'll be working to give you more ways to easily customize the look and feel of your blog.
RSS Feeds – In addition to the built-in subscription feature we have on Blogster, we're going to be adding RSS feeds to each of your blogs, which gives visitors the opportunity to subscribe to your feed and receive notice when you've written a new blog post without being a member of the Blogster community.
Stats Tracking – In the near future, we'll be providing basic information about the visitors to your blog through your Blogster dashboard.
Built-In Support System – We want to make sure that it's easy for you to stay in contact with the Blogster support and development teams. The new support system will give you an easy way of making requests, reporting bugs, etc.
While you use the new site, keep an eye out for any roving bugs. If you find anything, post a comment here with details on the bug and we'll take care of it :).
We're also eager to hear your ideas and suggestions for improvement as Blogster continues to grow.
Thanks for all your patience and encouragement during the transfer. We're off to get a good night's sleep. Enjoy the new site!

Here's my question: I notice none of my replies to comments are visible. Why is that?
Hey everyone! :)
The dust is going to be settling for the next few days. The hardest part of the work is done and all the data has been safely transferred over. For those of you who are having challenges, thank you for letting us know. It may take a few days, but we'll get everything worked out.
No data has been lost in the transfer. If you're having trouble with your account, have no fear, we'll get the challenge resolved.
Thank you for all your encouragement and patience during the transfer! We'll be updating you again soon.

Friends,
Nice job BUT how do you logoff?
Cordially,
Jer
Howdy,
Click the "door" icon with the red arrow by your username up in the top left corner of the header. That will log you out of the system.

I also need to close my Blogster account. How do I do that??
P.S. This has nothing to do with the site...just don't have time any longer to participate.
It would appear that every single message I've sent (and deleted) over the past three years has reappeared in my "Sent Messages" box.
I have doubles of "My Friends" and if I try to remove one of the doubles they both dissapear.
Some of the people in my friends have never been my friends.
Could we have our friends in some sort of order? Alphabetical would be nice.
Well done Admin.
You dont really need to close your site if you dont wish to post anymore, just leave things as they are, and visit occasionally to see if you have had any visitors.
Cheers all, and a happy New Year
Nice Work Guys!! Looking awesome!

I try to reply to comments and that isn't working for me. Also, my friends list which appears on the right side of my page is not showing people who are currently signed on. It shows people who haven't been on for quite awhile or were never on my friends list.
Okay... I'm not here just to complain... I think you guys are all trying really hard and we all appreciate your efforts to make Blogster a great place to blog.
AnnieL :o) p.s. I sure miss the hearts in the emoticons.
You really have considerable work to do in order to make this a functional system. For example, how photos upload - or don't upload, actually.
Looks like you've done a lot of work to upgrade this site, and I'd give you a thumbsup on what you've done so far, but that is one of the many emoticons that seems to be missing. The new ones seem to be lacking in a lot of areas. Sure would like the old ones back!
It sounds like you're not quite done yet. At least I hope you're not done yet, because, as the comment before me states, there are quite a few problems. Most of them have already been mentioned, such as not being able to reply to comments. But you get points for giving us an option to delete comments posted on our sites. This is a biggie!
Now if only we could delete our posts, and links that no longer work or are outdated...
AJ
First I appreciate all you are doing to make this a great site, in which we can participate. I'm an old man, but: when I must make a selection of what catagory my posts fall under all I have found is "Religion" .Is this written in stone? There are many I feel would like another catagory hopefully you would take into account that what we write does not fall under "Religion". If you could perhaps add an additional catagory of "Spiritual" ,or "Spirituality"; or "Gods Faith" Not all of us are stuck in that old mold of religion nor do we follow what faith to direct our lives by?Thanks again for the hard work you are putting into this site. I will be a regular contributor in the future ,for I can also see into what the future holds, being here. In His love, lampwickexxx
Good morning! And as we say in the Middle East! Sabah al khair!
Salam to all of you.
You are an amazing team! Thanks, first for giving us a venue to share our opinions and give us a chance to write it and share it to the worlds - friends and family and all.... second - for making the site AWESOMEly beautiful.
Thanks, thanks, thanks.....!
To health, love and success for all of you and all my fellow bloggers in blogsterville!

Boo hoo, all my replies to people's comments @ my blog are gone. Why? One of the ways you get to know a person @ a blog is by the replies they write, not just by the blog entries they post.
Frankly, the old blogster was much, much better (not to scorn your hard work or anything): why did it have to be altered? "If it ain't broke, don't 'fix' it" definitely applied here. I am heartbroken about this unnecessary change.
Oh well, thanx that we at least didn't have the whole blog deleted. Gotta count our blessings.
Sniff. Honk.
Congrats! Where can I report problems? I cant reply on a comment and I lost all my mail.
Jonathan:
My "reply" button doesn't seem to work. Help.

Please e-mail me the web site address to re-access blogster.com, as my old saved favorite to access it with one click of the mouse, now doesn't provide me access, unless I click another's site who has flagged me that they have entered a post.

THANK.....YOU SO MUCH....
Some good, some not so good: I can't "reply" to comments directed to my posts; my friends are a jumbled mess; I can only log in from email comment notifications; and access to the emoticons (not to mention the blurriness) requires extra clicking.

I do have a question....blogster works great at my house...I use Firefox btw....but here at work where I use Internet Explorer...not so hot...can't reply to anyone at all...Just thought I'd let you know. Is there something to fix this? Or should I just hang tight and let you all work on it?
Thanks guys...
At my age change is difficult but I respect progress not matter what form it takes.
And I will adjust to the new blog!

Hey,we will be looking good soon.I know this is a difficult job,but you did it.
Good luck, guys and hope that things will turned out well for all of us.
I WANT TO BE YOUR FRIEND JONATHAN YOU ARE SMART AT 21 ALMOST AS SMART AS MY GRANDSON 17 SAT SCORE 33 OUT OF 36 SO THE SCHLORSHIPS ARE COMING IN FAST FOR SEPT.
I'd like to know how soon the RSS feeds will be available. This lask of is a major drawback to blogster - the sooner the better! Thanks.
