Other Enhancements.
· More intuitive private message system with E-Mail ‘at-blogster-dot-com’ integration.
· Advanced Tagging systems, including tag clouds.
· Enhancements for mobile platforms (BlogsterMobile)
What is going on now?
All the recent bug fixes you have seen on the current Blogster this past month and a half have been done by a new team of developers in the Blogster office. Work on the current Blogster will be limited to extreme bug fixes and problematic maintenance to keep it going for the arrival of the new system. We hope to deliver a beta stage in 60 days, with previews and update postings along the way. As always if you have any questions, comments, suggestions, or problems, please contact the Team (http://team.blogster.com) via the message system.

While that looks nice and all were you planning on fixing the reply issue before you make something new to fix?
Oh, harsh one from mmmhollywould. You know what I would like blogster team? I would like a "destroy user" feature where I can obliterate anyone that annoys me, and only I have the ability to use this feature. I think it would be best for all of blogster if I am left with the task of eliminating any blogsters that perturb me. There may not be many left when I'm done, but at least you won't get as many complaints for running such a sucky site.
I appreciate all of the fixes and the upgrades.
This is a FREE service, yet so many complain about the imperfections. Now if Blogster was charging $50 a month for the privelege of writing random stuff to total strangers, the complaining might be justified.
This isn't life or death (even though some of my posts sound like it), it's entertainment. Where else can you get unlimited entertainment opportunities for FREE?
Keep up the good work!
I might hope that the migration to the new version will happen a lot smoother than the last one. Lots of users left here then and be sure that that wont happen again!
there are other sites.....also for free
I just want to know why my blog's visitor counter is way, way, way, off! This is driving me nuts. C'mon, I started posting about atheism yesterday (two posts) and found 68 hits with only 3 visitors identified as such (Blogster Team being one)...Atheism is about as interesting a topic as the mating habits of the Androgynous Toad, muskrats, or my uncle's nude volleyball. What is up with the stats? Not complaining...just, well, wondering.
P.S. No Google ads? No ads about fungus cream products? It just doesn't add up.
looks good
Apparently the reply button still doesn't work Holly.
Now, I see why I don't come here that often anymore.
Gotta love it
Oh yeah.
I'm bummed, I need to get in touch with thec, because I CANNOT log in to my account! I have tried to reset password, but the 'email', that is supose to be to my email address, NEVER gets there!!
Waddup?

I'm afraid to say this, but thanks for fixing the photo upload system nd changing the format so that we don't have to sort thru old pictures any more. Gonna give the Team 2 atta boys & a
The Grouch has spoken his piece.....
I just moved here from Blogstream and I think Blogster is wonderful. Readers couldn't comment on blogstream unless they had an account. Blogster has a lot of nice features and I really appreciate the free part!

It probably is not. It just means you had more non-registered/logged in visitors. If you think both counts are low, you might just be over-estimating how interesting your postings are.

I thought it was you, perhaps it was someone else. We have already stated that this will be fixed in the new system. There are only so many hours in the day, we can either try and patch this old system (rememeber, we are a new team of people who were given this) or create a better system better integrated from the start. Now, if you are willing to supply our coffee and energy drinks...

... what?
hi team
i cant seem to upload pictures... imagine... unlike many other blogsites where uploading picture or video is a breeze........
:)
and good luck for the new features...!
There still is an issue with replying. I can reply but tjhe reply does not appear under the comment on which I reply. That is for some time now and I think these kind of things need to be repaired before any new issue is launched (thats my opinion)
we are taking a look at your blog to see if we can easily fix the problem. if it is not fixed in a couple of days then please let me know. sorry for the inconvenience.

I dont post here anymore cause of all the probs but read posts from friends to which I comment ( see Donnamg's post about her dad becoming 77)
I always love new things that come up.
More "improvements"? So glad I left when I did.
Please direct me to information about what might happen if I admit a "friend". Will I risk a virus? And if I choose to be a friend what will change?

So then the bugs will be fixed in two months? No band-aid just wait.
Guess I will blog then.

When you accept a friend request it will just add them to your buddy list and them to yours. This makes it easier for users to find blogs that they visit often. You will not receive a virus if you accept these. I hope this answered your question. Have a great day.

I am curiousa as to why you are deleting blogs that were written two years ago without notifying anyone?
Development Team: Like many others it appears, I, too, need your help desperately. I recently forgot my password. I clicked Reset Password. You sent me another. I used it repeatedly but it is unacceptable, won't let me login. I have different problems from earlier times. Like my image is not complete, can't delete. Kendall knows of these earlier requests that have gone unanswered. Kindly request needed assistance to get logged on. Would appreciate an eMail reply. I can find no other way to contact you. I have clicked on everything that appeared would be a contact to your Development Team. I'm not even sure where this message will e-itself to. Again, your help is needed desperately, earliest. Thanks.
Please check my post out (Holes in fence ) you can barely read it can you fix that? I put it on another blog and it came out fine. Thanks Bluegrasslady
Uh ... kinda think you might wanna fix basic functionality issues FIRST, but, that would make sense ... did you guys get your training from the Bush Administration, or what?
The $64,000 question remains:
Why the hell didn't you people just leave a perfectly-functional platform alone, and, why'd you yank Eddie's site off Blogster?
A little sour grapes, given the stark reality that his site is mopping up the floor with yours.
Have a "blessed" day ... maybe the Good Lord will help you become real programmers.
You are welcom to go read my blog. I have a list of 100 blog sites that offer a working site for free and are not nasty to their bloggers.
Thanks, Holly! I'll take a look ... I'm happy with Greasy ... I don't really want to join any other sites, but, I DO appreciate the information.
I am happy there to i meant that comment for queeny but guess what! A f***ing bug! good god.
Ugh!!! This is sooooo freaking frustration station here.

The reply issue is just us not understanding this web sites method of replying. You just have to realise that when you click on the send reply button that is exactly what you are doing immediately.
I know we are all used to clicking on send reply and getting a new edit box to type in but this system short circuits that by letting you type your reply straight away. Microsnot is changing the way things are done all the time. So be a survivor and adapt to what is and appreciate it for what it is.
As the famous quote goes "Rome was not built in a day" - Hey they even say that God had to work for 6 days!
Changes I would make would be to remove the graphics of the friends list to a separate tab so that these graphics do not have to be down loaded.
Anomalous approval of blog; possibly for content, style entertainment readability values or the addition of using the 'FOG' index rating software as mechanical feed back.
Then there is the question of which database is being used to generate these web pages and finding out the fastest method of generating them.
Well, this has been a very entertaining topic. You just gotta love all the hate from the responses, so instead of derailing the hate train I think I'll add to it with an unhelpful and insulting response:
Blogster sucks, the new blogster you're working on sucks, you suck and so do your co-programmers, your lawn sucks, your taste in clothing sucks, your hair sucks, and your sucking sucks. I could wait for a new and improved blogster that adds features and fixes bugs but for now I'm content with my barrage of suck, and if I finally get tired of this shitfest of a site I'll just move to another blogging site and insult people there.
hi holly,
I just wanted to let you know that I am very sorry if you thought someone was being nasty with you. I have informed the team about the reply issue and from what I understand it is not going to be an easy fix so they would like to work on having that fixed in the new version instead of spending all their time fixing the current version. I am really sorry for the wait though, I know it is very frustrating.

FlyingLion: Your idea of using a FOG index intrigues me. I'm not sure how practical it would be (i.e. if it would be accurate enough for use on Blogster), but it's a cool thought.
Siggy
The old stuff hasn't worked for... ever. So I'm not sure of new stuff. I just tried to make a post with a couple of photos. Then went to Greasy and did a similar one -- which worked instantly. I've tried 3 times on Blogster and still haven't gotten the 2nd photo in. The 1st one didn't load where I wanted it. It also took a lot of waiting simply to reach this site, and navigate the pages.
What I like about this idea is seeing the relationship between FOG and peoples approval of what they read. Could be a something that would sell to marketing research companies.
Although I am guessing that in the end the KISS principle would win out.
(KISS=Keep It Simple Stupid)
It is great fun trying to find the errors on this site and trying to help get them corrected. I am not really caring if the site works well or not. It is from the mistakes made that real learning can be gained.
It is a really easy and quick site to join. So if something is not working you can just join again and start over.
Quirky style has me amused and the blogs of others seem to be Okay.

Hehe -- appeals to my inner scientist :-).

I don't know, but I don't have that many issues with Blogster, and certainly not enough to chase me away. It's good that they are working on the site continously, rather than just letting it languish. For people who are constantly complaining, no one is forcing you to stay. Either stop whining or leave. At the very least, let the team know of your issues in a calm, rational way, without the insults.
AMEN!
